TCV NEWS IN PICTURE-2010
Ama Jetsun Pema la received the prestigious Human Rights Award in May 2010. The Award was presented by an Italian NGO.
Inter-School Under 13 Level Club Football Tournament between LTCV & UTCV took place at UTCV ground on Saturday afternoon, 24 April 2010. The game went very well with both teams hitting hard on each other. Until the 1st half of game, UTCV lead the score with 4-3 but after half time, LTCV came back strongly and defeated UTCV with 6-4 at full time. The two teams will meet again on 1 May at LTCV ground.
Upper TCV School Dharamsala Cantt. organized its Graduation Day for Class XII Students on 29 March 2010. At the same time, TCV Bylakuppe also celebrated its Graduation Day for their outgoing students. TCV School Management and Staff conveys its heartiest well wishes to all the students in their further studies in various Colleges/Universities.
Tibetan Children's Village School held its Annual Spring Fete on 13 March 2010. All the children and staff unanimously devoted their time and energy in making the fete as delightful and colorful as it should be in order to attract the attention of public. Various games and activities were organized from coke fishing to card games to Balloon games to tombola, etc. On the whole, the Games Committee had enough collection through hard work and collective effort of everyone.
Children and Staff of Tibetan Children's Village School joined the 51st Tibetan National Uprising Day on 10 March at Dharamsala. His Holiness the Dalai Lama along with Kalon Tripa and other leaders were present at Tsuklagkhang to address the gathering and encourage them to continue working on Tibet's Freedom/Sovereignty through Peace and Non-Violent Approach. Thousands of Children, Tibetan public as well as many Indian and foreign friends and supporters showed up on the day to join the procession from Tsuklagkhang to Kacheri.
Children and Staff of Tibetan Children's Village School joined the Tibetan Government in Exile and the general public at Tsuklagkhang to observe the remembrance of H.H. the XIII Dalai Lama's 100 Years of Exile in India when there was threat and attack from Manchus of China in 1910 and stayed in Indian State of West Bengal for nearly 2 years.

Children and Staff alike took part in the "Low-Profile Tibetan Losar Celebration" in Tibetan Children's Villages and Schools. Children overjoyed with their Losar Gifts...
Group of 16 Children from Upper TCV School were on tour at Auroville, Puducherry from 16 January 2010 for a month. This is a exchange program where by our children will show case our Tibetan Culture and tradition with Tamilians at Puducherry. We hope that the group will make best use of their vacation and come enriched with lots of exposures and experiences.
