Below are the few programs besides the daylong TCV Anniversary 25-28 Oct 2008:

DAY 1: Had the sacred opportunity of group photo session with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and asked them of their whereabouts at present. In the evening, all attended the first ever Tibetan Spelling contest among the Inter-TCV schools in the Himachal area. They sponsored the event and donated two beautiful wall clocks to TCV Dharamsala for the two big halls. After that, they had a get-together dinner at Mr.Tenzin Takla's house.

DAY 2: Many could not attend the second day program on time due to last night's late gathering filled with laughter and joy. Their sitting arrangement was reserved on the upper stage where Gyalwa Karmapa is seated, and watched the whole day program sitting next to him. They all felt so fortunate and auspicious. They again had a get-together lunch at Mrs.Tenzin Pelmo house. In the evening, the batch students organized a special dinner at Hotel Tibet, Mcleod Gunj to Amala, President, and their teachers as gratitude. Many teachers attended the dinner, and had a wonderful time.

DAY 3:In the morning, they attended the Sangsol - (prayer for bestowing luck) - at the school temple. After that, they had informal meeting & lunch in the Head Office with the TCV President and other managerial staff members. It was a wonderful family gathering. Everyone enjoyed, although it was often emotional. It was a great moment of sharing and recalling school time stories. In the evening, they joined the TCV staff party in the hall.

DAY 4: It was a daylong tour by school bus to nearby TCV branch schools. The tour was wonderful, although some could not join. Respective Directors and Principals of the branch schools received them all with love and respect, and extended their warmest hospitality. On their return, they again had their last get-together dinner at Mcleod Gunj.

CONCLUSION: All were filled with joy and happiness attending this program. It was unanimous that they all had such a great moment, and unequivocally applauded that it was beyond their expectation, meeting each other and many old staff members. They also felt so sorry for those who could not join this gathering. This four days gathering was a memorable one and went on with laughter recalling school time stories. The program ended with full satisfaction of all who participated in this gathering.

SPECIAL THANKS: Taking this opportunity, we would like to convey our special thanks to some new sponsors from this batch.
